- MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU
- December 14, 2009
- Merry Christmas to Everyone!!
Christmas is definitely my favorite time of year! The weather cools down, I get to shop more (always a plus), and it seems like at Christmas, everyone extends a loving hand to their neighbor. If the whole year was like Christmas is, I believe the world would be a much better place! The fact is, most people come home to spend time with loved ones and just take time to enjoy little things in life during the Holidays. Little things that really matter.
This year, Dusty and I were asked to sing a special in a Children’s play. The title of the song is: “Give This Christmas Away.” This will be a little long, but please take the time to read them. The lyrics are:
What if I told you
You have the power
To give someone hope
Beyond their wildest dreams
What if I told you
It’s right there in your hands
In your hands
It’s hard to imagine
How something so small
Can make all the difference
Tear down the tallest wall
What if December
Looked different this year
What if we all just
Give this Christmas away
If there’s love in your heart
Don’t let it stay there
Give this Christmas away
And your life will be changed
By the gifts you receive
When you give this Christmas away
It’s feeding the hungry
Serving the poor
It’s telling the orphan
You’re not forgotten anymore
It’s doing what love does
Even when no one’s watching you
Give this Christmas away
If there’s love in your heart
Don’t let it stay there
Give this Christmas away
And your life will be changed
By the gifts you receive
When you give this Christmas away
For God so loved the world
That He gave His only Son
So we could be
His hands, His feet, His love
His love
We were honored to be able to perform this song with the Children’s choir during their Christmas play last week and we’re looking forward to singing it with them again this week at our Mall.
The best part of this song is that these 3rd & 4th grade children are learning that giving away their gifts and talents to the Lord is more important than receiving presents. What a wonderful thought!
From our families to yours, we wish you a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a wonderful New Year!

- Heading into a New Year…
We hope that all of you have had a wonderful Christmas season as we have! Even though here in Florida, we have 80 degree weather for Christmas, it’s still the holidays when you get to spend time with family and friends and eat great food and open gifts. I think everyone likes to open presents. It doesn’t matter how young or old you are. Now that Christmas is over, a lot of people are thinking about their finances & asking their selves… how did I spend that much money? Where did that Christmas bonus go to? Everything about Christmas all comes back to the famous night in Bethlehem, the night that our Saviour was born. It’s amazing to think that when Jesus was born, God already had everything planned. He knew that this beautiful little boy would grow to a 33 year old man and then he would HAVE to die on a cross to pay for the world’s sins. An incredible gift was given to us that day: God gave us His Son to live & walk on this Earth to show us how to live and then died to pay for all of our sin debt. What a gift!! And the best part is, His gift was FREE and it still is today. The best gift ANY time of year is SALVATION. Please meet with your Pastor if you have questions about your salvation or if you need to be saved. Or, feel free to call us any time. We would be honored to help lead you to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Accept God’s free gift to you today!
How will you start your New Year? Do you have a grudge that you need to release; do you have bad habits that you want to be rid of? I know I have bad habits… I think everyone does! The good news is that my Redeemer offers mercy and grace to you and allows you to ask for forgiveness and ask for help. Maybe you have an addiction or financial problems? Ask Jesus for deliverance and help to make it through ANY situation. You may say… this problem cannot be solved by a prayer… Look, if Jesus can heal the inflicted and raise the dead… not to mention the walking on water thing… TRUST me… he can take care of your little problem. Notice I used the word “little”… No problem is too big for God. Never forget that. DO NOT drag your “baggage” into another new year. Clean your slate before you start 2009. Love your family and friends like never before, take care of your body, and always rely on God for any problem and any situation… whatever the cost. Be a light for your family, friends and most importantly your children!! “Raise your children in the way they should go and when they get old, they will not depart from you.” See 2009 as a mission. A mission to win souls, to unashamedly tell others about Jesus, be a light in a dark world and to clean out your “refrigerator” so to speak… I don’t know about you, but sometimes I forget to clean out my refrigerator and I find things that look like slime in the very back in a glad ware that was green bean casserole from last Thanksgiving… that’s the stuff that needs to be gone in your life. That nasty stuff that you have no use for and when you eat it makes you sick. When we have addictions, grudges & bad habits that take over our lives, we have sickness in our hearts. Let Jesus clean it out this year.
We love all of you from the bottom of our hearts and we hope that each one of you has a great & prosperous New Year!!
Faithfully Serving,

- Fall Fun Times
- October 25, 2008
- Hello Everyone!
I cannot believe that it's already almost November again! We've been greatly enjoying the Fall weather here in Florida! It's such a nice change from the heat that we normally live in down here! I hope that all of you are having a great fall time... I can truly say that fall is my favorite time of year! Autumn in a time of harvest and a time for us to celebrate all the things we are thankful for in our lives. Just like everyone does from time to time, I get caught up in life in general... the running from place to place, working, cooking dinner, then doing it all over again the next day. I do take for granted so much around me! I have a wonderful family that loves me, a great job, a wonderful ministry and so many other things that God has given me. We all have so many blessings in our lives, don't we? I challenge you to take some time to sit down and make a list of all the things that you're thankful for. You will be amazed at how many there will be! After you make your list, pray and thank God for what He's given you in your life. Then, make sure that you go to each person you have on your list and tell them that you are thankful for them and let them know one way that they have influenced your life. This simple process does help us to stay focused on what's truly important in this world.
As far as Pure Heart news goes... we've had some great services the past few months! We've traveled to Pikeville, TN and got to see some of our great friends Jimmy & Joan Williams and worship at their wonderful church. We also just returned from Dahlonega, GA where we sang at the Goldrush Festival with many other groups that we have become great friends with over the years.
We thank you for all the prayers that you knead into our ministry! Please continue to pray for the new year. We want to be in God's will and we're looking forward to what He has in store for us! - -- His Faithful Servant, Lindsey

- Get Out of the Boat!
- June 2, 2008
- “Get out of the boat and walk on out to me
Don’t worry bout the wind and waves crashing at your feet
Your faith can take you places that no one can see
Get out of the boat and walk on out to me”…
Isn’t it great to know that Jesus has faith in us just as we have faith in Him?
Even though He knows what the future holds, I believe He still has faith that we will follow Him and do as He’s instructed. As these lyrics remind us, Peter was scared to get out of the boat, but Jesus knew that his faith was strong enough to do it through faith. He wanted to teach Peter the lesson that as long as he kept his eyes focused on Jesus, he would prevail. Have you ever noticed how it’s easier to do things that seem difficult when you have “cheerleaders”? People who assure you that you can do whatever it is that you’re trying to accomplish. Guess what? Life isn’t easy. (We all know that by now) Jesus never said it would be easy. Try thinking of Him as your all knowing, omnipotent, ever powerful, Omni present CHEERLEADER. He is assuredness and He will comfort you and reassure you to help you succeed and get through hard times. So, when you’re facing a trial and you feel defeated, remember that our Lord will never place something on us that we can’t handle. Strive to be all that HE wants you to be and let Him and all the angels in Heaven cheer you to the eternal finish line!
I hope this message finds you having a great day in the Lord!
We pray God’s blessings on your lives!
Please continue to pray for our ministry and be OUR cheerleaders!
ADVENTURES ON THE BUS:
The past few weeks have been a lot of fun!
We all visited Walt Disney World’s Ft. Wilderness Campground in Orlando, FL and had a great time of fellowship! We grilled out, made Smores, watched great Disney movies on the giant outdoor screen, went fishing, took a boat ride all around the Seven Seas Lagoon in a private boat, visited Disney’s Epcot and rode everything there, watched fireworks over the lake, saw lots of bunny rabbits, and saw the Iron Man Triathlon contestants compete! That’s was neat! WHEW! We did a lot! We did have a great time with each other! It’s good sometimes to be able to relax and have fun with the ones you minister with! After all, we have become like family!
